Dear Friends and Benefactors, Merry Christmas to you all and your families.
The Lord will bring you peace in your families and the joy of living together. He did not want to be alone in his kingdom, but has come to share with us, becoming one of us, our brother. This is the joy of the poor, with little shared together, we can give hope and joy. Many times you find yourself in situations with no solution or perspectives: the fact that "stand by" his brother, at least that comforts us and makes us turn our eyes and hearts to God!
I happened recently to say a Mass in a village where people have created a "new" school. But that sentence to see the poorly constructed classrooms without desks (= tree trunks) to sit and write, without the mud walls ... not the masters graduates and disengaged ... I said in the church, but what crime did these children be abandoned without a school, such as antelopes and monkeys in the forest! Certainly the State has cheated you by telling you that from first to third elementary school is free of charge without giving "nothing"! but there is pay taxes to the 4.a 6.a, and then not pay gl'insegnanti. But you parents, because you too have abandoned your children? just a little 'commitment and solidarity, at least for the construction of classrooms in our classes for the pygmies, if the parents do not build the classrooms, do not begin the school year. So the situation is.
addition to the North and East continued bloodshed and banditry, but without effective intervention, are preparing for elections ... (x November 2011), but nothing stands out "guide" so that confidence or is likely to worry about the well common. We also like the Church, we lack people trained in this level. I seem to relive even here the situation that exists in Italy today.
But at least we can give hope to these poor people? I repeat myself when I preach: the only valid reason to lift the poor out of mistrust and put it back together in his efforts, albeit with small glimmers of success. Fight together, suffer together, can give us hope. A believer wrote: Christ does not help us much with his omnipotence, but rather by virtue of his suffering. At least we could have done together! May the Lord support us in our service.
Once again thanks to all of you who continue to send aid. P. Justin hope will soon be able to visit you, has several difficulties, especially in fast-forward the school for the pygmies in the entire Diocese (= the heavy burden of salaries to teachers not paid by the state). We all hope for your sharing with the poor, in support of our on-site service.
GREETINGS for a holy Christmas Merry in the Lord and the New Year 2011, full of tender mercy of our God
A hug to each of you,
12/11/2010 Mungbere Christmas
P. Franko Laudani, Comboni
